Madinah Red Crescent: Responds to Over 8,000 Emergencies During Ramadan

Madinah:The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Madinah reported managing 8,411 emergency cases since the start of Ramadan 1446 AH.

According to the report, the authority confirmed that 26,385 calls were received, leading to thousands of ambulance dispatches. Out of these, 2,177 patients received on-site treatment, while 2,489 cases were transported to medical facilities for further care. The cases ranged from medical emergencies and accidents to incidents of loss of consciousness.

The branch also deployed 4,551 volunteers, who dedicated 26,481 service hours at the Prophet's Mosque and Quba Mosque during the second quarter of Ramadan.

Emergency assistance is available via the 997 hotline or the 'Asefne' mobile app, which offers location tracking, distress call features, and information on nearby healthcare facilities.
